Cherie Morris has been in Durango over 30 years. Her passion for marketing, promotions and merchandising lead her to purchase the Durango Olive Oil Company in December of 2013. Combining her skills in marketing and promotion with her energy and vision, she saw the potential for Durango Olive Company.
Our oils are all imported so they are freshly pressed. They are all Extra Virgin. The origin of the oil changes throughout the year as the olive seasons end in different locations.
Extra virgin olive oil is mechanically pressed (you may see the term cold pressed) rather than being produced by chemical means. I has an acidity level of less than 0.8%. It is also tasted for flavor before being certified. Fine or Virgin Olive Oil has an acidity of less than 2%. It often uses slighter riper olives.
We’ve attached our testing certificate. This is a third party testing company that tests the oil.
Aged Balsamic Vinegars:
Our Aged Balsamic Vinegars are imported from the birthplace of Balsamic, Modena, Italy. Our Balsamics are all aged and have a high percentage of grape must. Making them so delicious and thick like true Aged Balsamic should be.
